  1. The Amazon Kindle has really given Apple and Android a run for their money and the new Amazon Kindle Fire HD 8.9 is no exception. With this new product in their lineup Amazon just about matches Samsung for choices as far as screen size is concerned. Their new tablet has a resolution of 1920 x 1200, a battery that will last up to 10 hours and a 1.8 GHz dual core that promises slick content delivery and of course Amazon’s huge media catalog that includes about 22 million movies, TV shows, apps, books, magazines and music.
  2. If you are a bicycling enthusiast you’ve probably heard of BMC and this year they’re giving us their Impec Lamborghini Edition to celebrate Lamborghinis 50th year in business. Built to order with a stem length, handle bars and gearing that match the size of your body this impressive bicycle gives you the choice of racing or performance carbon frames and weighs just under 7 kg. For those of you who want some Lamborghini leather but don’t have the big bucks to spend the Impec features the same leather as the Lamborghini Aventador on the saddle.
  3. Another company that’s celebrating an anniversary is Cambridge-based Cyrus Audio and they have a doozy of a high component system coming out this year that will melt the heart of any audiophile. What they’ve done is taken seven of their best high-end components, including a digital to analog converter, CD transport, networks streamer, twin mono power amps and power supplies, tweaked them like crazy and thrown them all together in a one-off mega tower. The only thing it doesn’t come with his speakers but as far as audio power is concerned this baby is going to kick some major butt.
  4. Denon, the headphone and ear bud specialists, are introducing there AH-C400ear buds very soon and, from what we hear (pun intended), they are absolutely awesome. They’ve taken 2 balanced Armature drivers and encased them in a die-cast zinc housing that gives them a weight of 9 g so they are actually a bit hefty. These new buds also feature an iOS app to save and change your equalizer settings.
  5. If you are getting sick of every TV manufacturer trying to outdo the other with the latest, biggest TV ever then maybe it’s time to move over to a projector instead and, if we may, we’d like to recommend the Epson EH-TW9100.  With 2400 lumens, 3-D images and a contrast ratio of 320,000 to 1 we’re quite sure that nobody is going to be making fun of the fact that you don’t have a huge flatscreen tacked onto your wall ever again.
  6. If you’re looking for an iPad friendly keyboard that offers a full QWERTY access for all iPad models after the 1st generation then you should definitely take a look at the RCHOS  Design Bluetooth Keyboard. At 5 mm thick it’s incredibly thin and, like the fantastic iPad cover, it magnetically locks in place when you are ready to use it. It also has an adjustable kickstand and an aluminum packet casing to make sure that it doesn’t interfere with the iPad’s rather slender design.
  7. If you are a bird watching enthusiast or you spend a lot of time at festivals and concerts from the nosebleed seats the Nikon ACULON T01 binoculars are going to be your best friend. They feature multilayer coated lenses as well as a 21 mm objective lens and your choice of either 8X or 10X magnification. They also come in a wide range of pretty colors and are small enough to fit in a medium-size pocket.
